We are open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30, with the last card at 3pm.
Our country clothing shop, Home Wood & Hale is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 until 5pm.
We stock the entire Hull Cartridge range, with a delivery every Friday. Please order by 10am on Thursday for next day delivery.

No, we have no restrictions. We do prefer Fibre Wad, but plastic is fine too.
If you are a beginner coming for a lesson - you just need to bring yourself. We will provide
you with a gun, cartridges, the appropriate protection, insurance.
If you are coming for practice - you will need your own gun. We do not hire our ground guns
out to practice shooters. We sell cartridges on site, and we also have eye and ear protection
available.
We will provide a gun for you.
If you are practicing, you need your own gun and licence. If you are having a lesson, it is not
necessary to have a gun and licence as you are covered under our secion 11 Exemption
Certificate.
Yes - we have an exemption certificate which allows this to be possible. Your friend will be
solely responsible for you and may only have one non licence holder per licence. Please call us
to let us know you are planning to shoot alongside a licence holding friend. We will need to take
a few more more details from you.
Yes, the more the merrier! As long as they wear the relevant safety equipment provided and
follow the instructors advice on where it is safe to stand.
There is no legal age limit, as long as children are strong enough to hold a shotgun and able to
understand the important safety aspects necessary in order to enjoy the sport. We would always
suggest bringing your child along for an individual lesson with one of our instructors, to see if
they are keen to learn, before considering investing in a gun.

No, you do not need to be a member. As long as you have your own shotgun and certificate you
are able to shoot here.
We have a Facebook group - just search Grimsthorpe Girls and ask to join the group. If you
would like to come to an event, tick ‘going’ on the event page. If you don’t have Facebook, have a look on the website or give us a call!
Yes, we have disabled access into and throughout the clubhouse, and most areas on the
ground (we are in a woodland setting so the terrain is gravel pathways)
Our instructors will always make sure that you are provided with a gun suitable to your height
and build. Along with low recoil cartridges, a shoulder pad if necessary and the correct gun
position in your shoulder will all ensure you enjoy your experience.
If you are a beginner you will use roughly 25-50. If you are more experienced you will use
roughly 75-100.
We are an outdoor sport, so we shoot in all weathers. The only time we will stop is for gail force
winds, thunder and lightning.
Dogs are welcome on the ground as long as they are kept on leads. Dogs are not allowed in the
clubhouse.
